Your car has been coated with IGL Coatings by one of our wonderful accredited detailers.

If you chose our flagship coating Kenzo or our graphene reinforced Quartz Plus you can now register for double the warranty on your coating!

Please read the terms below to understand how the warranty works. By registering your coating you agree to all of our terms and conditions of the warranty.

Your Warranty

We would like to thank you for choosing to have your vehicle coated by an IGL accredited detailer, with your coating you have received an extended warranty to ensure your coating will protect your vehicle for the stated timeframes.

  • Kenzo - 10 years (5 years standard warranty)

  • Quartz Plus - 8 years (4 years standard warranty)

With your extended warranty you will also receive a 10% off lifetime discount code so you can always stay topped up on maintenance products that will help you care for your coating and can receive advice on which products to use by your accredited detailer. You will receive your code once you have completed the coating registration - please note this code maybe changed to avoid misuse, if this changes and you would like to place an order please contact us and we will provide you with the new code.

As with all good things we have to set some ground rules and let you know how this all works to make sure you know how to use your warranty, who to contact and what is and isn’t covered.

A PDF copy of this page is available to download at the bottom of this page - please save this document somewhere safe along with your invoice for the ceramic coating and receipts for any maintenance products you have bought from your detailer. (if products have been bought directly from iglcoatingsuk.com please don’t worry about receipts as we have all or your orders on record). 

This warranty will be subject to you visiting your accredited detailer once a year and keeping invoices as proof of your ‘yearly maintenance’ as well as only IGL Coatings products being used during maintenance washes.

Please read these terms and conditions and register your ceramic coating within 30 days of application.

Registration

To activate your extended warranty please enter your details in the form at the bottom of this webpage.

All we need is;

  • Name (so we can find you in our database)

  • Email (to contact you about your warranty)

  • Ceramic Coating (Quartz Plus, Kenzo)

  • Ceramic Coating Serial Number (provided by your detailer)

  • Vehicle Make, Model & Registration (so we know which car the coating is on)

T&C’s (the boring bit)

  • Your warranty must be activated within 30 days of your accredited detailer coating your vehicle, this can be done via our online form below, all of this information is important to ensure we know all the details around your booking to make it easier to process the warranty claim should you need to use it.

  • This warranty only covers M1 classification passenger vehicles up to 8 seats and excludes any vehicle used for commercial purposes.

  • Application must be done by an IGL Coatings UK Accredited Detailer

  • The warranty is non-transferable and will cover 10 years from date of application for Kenzo and 8 years for Quartz Plus. 

  • The vehicle must be taken to your IGL Accredited Detailer once per year for maintenance. Failure to do so will result in your warranty being void. 

  • The vehicle must be washed and maintained with IGL Coatings products that are compatible and safe with your chosen coating. You can purchase via our website or through your detailer. 

  • The vehicle must be dried after it has been washed.

  • In the unlikely event that there is noticeable staining or fading of your vehicle’s painted gloss bodywork caused by exposure to UV rays, fallout, road salt, bug splatter, acid rain, tree sap, bird droppings, lotions and cosmetics, that cannot be corrected by routine maintenance an IGL Coatings Accredited Detailer will repair the damage and re-apply the coating free of charge.

  • This guarantee applies to OEM gloss paint finish applied to bodywork only and to areas which have been treated.

  • IGL Coatings UK reserves the right to inspect, repair and re-treat the vehicle, using their choice of IGL Coatings Accredited Detailers. This should be at a mutually convenient time and location where possible.

  • Whilst we are not liable for defective product application, if you have used a detailer approved by us and you are unhappy with the quality of the workmanship and the technician failing to rectify, please notify us within 30 days of the application by the technician and we will contact them on your behalf to help resolve the issue and reach a satisfactory and fair resolution.

  • This guarantee does not affect your legal rights under the consumer contracts regulations in relation to faulty or mis-described goods.

Exclusions

  • Inadequate or poor preparation of the surfaces prior to the application of the ceramic coating

  • Inadequate or poor application of the coatings

  • Specific damage caused by non- IGL Coatings products

  • Where annual inspection has not been carried out

  • Fire, accident and collision damage, malicious damage, stone chips, extreme weather conditions (hailstone etc)

  • Scratching, swirl marks and hazing caused by (but not limited to) handheld wash brushes, car covers, snow clearance equipment (scrapers/shovels), automated car washes, hand car washes or contaminated cloths, sponges, mitts and chamois leathers/drying towels

  • Deviating from the IGL Coatings wash process, products and equipment as outlined in the ‘Wash Guide’ which can be found here

  • Damage to surfaces through, solvent attack, fire, industrial oil, inks, permanent markers, glue, paint, corrosive substances, dyes or bio-hazardous materials

  • General deterioration through wear and tear

  • Manufacturer paint and surface defects, including but not limited to; orange peel, foreign matter, peeling, delamination

  • Matt or satin paint finishes, paint protection film, vinyl, decals and livery

  • Hydrophobic action of the coating

  • Neglect or poor maintenance

  • The damage takes place in a country which was not the place of purchase or where we do not distribute the coating at the time of purchase by you

  • Where the coating was applied by a non-Accredited Detailer

Previous Claims

  • You can make a claim under this warranty twice, after it will be down to the discretion of your detailer to rectify any further issues.

Making a Claim

To make a claim under this warranty please email us at enquiries@iglcoatingsuk.com please include your name, email address and vehicle registration of the vehicle along with a photograph and a brief description of the damage.

We may then arrange for an assessor to inspect the car during normal business hours at a location specified by the assessor
